Feeling gratitude in the quietest moments

I often feel gratitude in the quietest, simplest moments that just sneak in to my life.
Yesterday, I went for a walk in the nearby nature reserve and while I was walking, I was listening to a podcast. When I reached an area where I could see the lake in full view, I felt a pull to stop and sit down on the bird poo covered pontoon.
I didn’t mind. Actually, I loved it.
I was so close to nature, I was part of it. I took my headphones out and just listened to the sounds of the wildlife around me.
The lake was full of life. I saw families of different water birds with their babies and suddenly I felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude for being alive, for being able to witness life around me and for being able to stop and pause and just be.
When I tell the amazing women I work with, to take 10 minutes for themselves, this is what I mean. Just be and let the world in and notice the greatness in their lives, however messy or chaotic it may appear.
You don't need a big event to feel gratitude.
So this week, I invite you to pause, just for a few minutes. Find a moment to breathe, to listen, to be still. Notice what’s already good, already enough. Let gratitude meet you there.
What’s one simple thing you’re grateful for right now? I’d love to hear it in the comments. Let’s start the week with connection, presence, and a little more awareness of the greatness already in our lives.
